university's collaborations

Since 2019 we have begun a collaboration with Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan in the field of communication and sustainability to involve young people on these issues. Here some interesting witnesses! We keep you updated on the next steps, which you can always find in this section.

"We are the bank for Millenials" project
We asked the students who attended "Economia e Gestione della Comunicazione Pubblicitaria" with Professor Stefania Vitulli, through a stimulating ad hoc brief and a lesson on the communication activities of our bank, to propose a communication strategy aimed at a greater “diffusion” of the bank in the target 18-35 years both directly and through influencers, with particular attention to digital channels.

Photo of the 2019 edition: the presentation of the projects of the students to the examining commission was held on 12th April in the Auditorium of the headquarters in via Feltre in Milan.

Video of the 2020 online edition: we interviewed Cecilia and Marta as representatives of the group that obtained the highest score at the discretion of the examining commission composed of some colleagues from the Corporate Identity, Communications, Marketing & Sustainability Area during the presentation on 15th May.

Summer courses for international students

“Creval: a new bank!” Project

On 5th July we welcomed the students of “Brand Strategy Experience” at our offices as part of the university’s international courses: in collaboration with the agency Publicis Media, we requested that they design a communication strategy to convey the new company - after the share capital increase and the change in management - as a solid, healthy bank and custodian of the trust of its customers and shareholders. Students from foreign countries (U.S., Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Colombia, France) had the opportunity to visit Creval’s main offices in Milan and to get acquainted with the new Piazza San Fedele branch model and the exhibition spaces of the Credito Valtellinese Gallery in Corso Magenta.

International Postgraduate Master in Corporate Communication

"Can a calendar engage our stakeholders? Yes!" Project
On 3rd October 2019 we took part in the Master, asking students to develop a plan communicating the bank's strengths from the point of view of Millennials, also to grasp expectations, observations and suggestions for improvement. The discussion regarding the classic annual paper calendar represented an additional challenging element: the class involved was asked to study an innovative approach in terms of content and form to relaunch this communication and stakeholder engagement tool.

“The sustainable bank” Project

On 12th May and 1st June 2020 we virtually met the “Business Communication” students on their university platform to talk about some successful international communication campaigns that use both digital tools and social networks with sustainability as a common denominator. They then discovered our company better and the activities for the environment and for the social sector that we carry out. At the end of the meeting, we entrusted them with a very ambitious brief to bring our company closer to young people by communicating our commitment to sustainability in an interesting way. Are you curious to hear the point of view of young people on banks? In the video Federica, Carlotta Maria, Claudia, Francesca and Diego tell us their impressions!

On 26 October 2020 we took part in the "Laboratorio su Etica nel Business”, held by professor Giulia Donnici. The students first received some insights into the history of development economics and then a focus on our company and on sustainability integrated into the core business.

Master in Corporate Communication
We were invited to the virtual classroom of the "Master in Corporate Communication" on November 5 and December 18, 2020 to introduce students to the bank's commitment to sustainability and to launch a brief: creating a communication campaign - including videos, posts on social networks and the simulation of a press conference - using the Mission and the Charter of Values as distinctive elements. The class also put a lot of effort into the administration of a questionnaire consisting of 3 topics relating to sustainability and banks and presented the results.

Green is the new black
Between September and December 2020 as part of the "Inbound Mobility Programs" we met 4 students - 2 boys and 2 girls - from Belgium, Brazil, Holland and the United Kingdom within "Green is the new black". Over the course of 4 online sessions we presented the foundations of sustainability and our action plan. The students worked together as a real communication team by proposing some events in the area able to unite employees and external stakeholders in the common attention to the environment and the social aspects related to banking. The impressions of the students are in the video!

Virtual Exchange Project
In April, we met a large class of international students in an exchange project as part of an exchange project between Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Appalachian State University in North Carolina. The students had the opportunity to explore the SGDs, to understand the role of banks in supporting businesses and to make an in-depth study of the theme of sustainable food. They were also asked to find concrete sustainable solutions in some large metropolises around the world.
In the video, the experience of the team that won the best project presented.

"Creval Account for Millennials" Project
During the academic year 2020/2021 the students of the LIMED course of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, led by Prof. Stefania Vitulli, were involved in a challenge with a brief called "Conto Creval for Gen Z" in order to propose a communication strategy for the most innovative and online social media in accordance with the target chosen.
The brief asked - to support the strategy - a benchmark of the main competitors and the creation of "buyer personas" built through qualitative interviews.

Master in Sustainable Business Administration (MSBA)
On 13 and 18 November 2020 we met the students in the new Master of ALTIS (Alta Scuola di Impresa e Società) of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, created in collaboration with CSR Manager Network and Assolombarda, with the aim of providing integrated management in a socio-environmental perspective with an innovative and pragmatic approach concretely applicable in business processes. With the class we first discussed Creval's approach to sustainability and, secondly, we collected ideas from their ad hoc research on how to disseminate the Consolidated Non-Financial Statement, the engagement of young people on sustainability through social networks, internal communication strategies and partnerships with local institutions.

“The sustainable bank” Project

On September 3, 2020 we participated in a one-day hackathon within the International Executive MBA "Leading Digital Innovation" of the Bologna Business School (BBS), University of Bologna with professors Andrea Pia and Riccardo Silvi.
The participants - managers, professionals and consultants who want to lead companies on a path of transformation and international growth - investigate the issue of digital innovation as a key to creating value for brands, services and consumers, freeing the concept of digital skills from exclusively technical and specialist discussion tables and connecting it with the whole organization.
The students first received some insights into the history of our company and the integrated sustainability of the core business and then a brief created specifically for them by the Sustainability Team to bring out innovative ideas suitable for a young target on a sustainable financial product and on the ways of communication and engagement of customers.

2019 Edition

Two colleagues from the Human Resources Area participated in the front line to present our company to the students of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan on 8th October, 2019 during the Career Day, an occasion in which young university students come into contact with the most important companies in the area.
